Safety Management Services

Do you need a two man stand by rescue team, four man standby rescue team or maybe more? It can be confusing on how many people you actually need at a particular job. Since every job is different and the amount of personnel varies evn Osha's permit required confined space regulation (1910.146) does not give a percise number. The standard for a stand by rescue team should be and is "performance based" and the ability of the rescue team on stand by to effectivly perform the rescue in a timely manner.

Code Red Safety conducts confined space rescue services in all 50 States. When you need to assure crew and facility safety you can rely on Code Red Safety Confined Space Rescue for total project support service. Our clients depend on our services to help them meet OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and DOT compliance needs.

What is a Confined Space?

  1. Those areas which are not intended for continual human occupancy
  2. Have a limited means of egress
  3. Have the potential for physical, chemical or atmospheric engulfment
In order for an area to be classified as a confined space, all three of the above conditions must be met. Similarly, a "permit required" confined space is any area that meets the above criteria and has one or more of the following characteristics:
  1. Contains or has the potential to contain a hazardous atmosphere
  2. Contains a material that has the potential for engulfing the entrant
  3. Has an internal configuration that might cause an entrant to be trapped or asphyxiated by inwardly converging walls or by a floor that slopes downward and tapers to a smaller cross section, and/or
  4. Contains any other recognized serious safety or health hazards

Our standby rescue team members fully certified to:
  • 29 CFR 1910.146
  • and NFPA 1006
  • NFPA 1670
  • NFPA 1983
standards as confined space rescue technicians.

Deployed with a minimum 2 person emergency response team and a fully equipped rescue unit to perform IDLH permit required confined space rescue teams. Confined Space Rescue techs will pre-rig all permit required confined spaces (PRCS) prior to entry with state of the art rope rescue equipment.

Our company has the ability to provide atmospheric monitoring equipment, calibration stations, intrinsically-safe fans and blowers, confined space attendants and supervisors for your company´s projects and needs.

In addition to training for confined space rescue operations, the team has also received training in the use of first aid, cpr and rope rescue systems and many members have advanced training in hazardous materials response and containment.

Specialists in confined space rescue procedures, our crew is unmatched in training and experience. Our confined space rescue teams will help insure your workforce is proficient in the skills needed to safely and efficiently work with our teams when a confined space rescue is eminent in your workplace. Our confined space rescue crew accomplishes this by instructing your workforce in confined space rescue training while they are still outside of the environment. Then, our crew works with your people so that they can maintain safety and awareness to changing conditions while inside the confined space.

Whether you need a one-day or multi-day confined space rescue crew, Code Red Safety Confined Space Rescue will provide you with an on-site team that is equipped, staffed and trained to rescue entrants should an accident occur within the space. Our confined space rescue teams will ensure your compliance with OSHA and most importantly ensure your people can be rescued fast by professional rescuers.
