Trench Rescue Service

Many situations require specialized people to conduct rescues. A technical rescue team responds in major emergencies and a technical rescue team is well qualified to conduct any sort of rescue. A technical rescue team will be supplied with needed equipment and skills. You can be sure to rely on a technical rescue team and their unique knowledge, strength, and perseverance.

Trench rescue is a highly specialized form of rescue, a subset of confined space rescue. Trench rescue involves shoring up the sides of a trench, and digging a trapped worker out of a collapsed ditch. The area around a collapse should not be approached by any unnecessary personnel as this might cause further collapse of the sides.

Code Red Safety rescue teams are also trained in trench rescue. Trench rescue is a form of specialized rescue where rescuers dig trapped individuals out of collapsed ditched. Trench rescue should only be performed by trained and qualified individuals because the ditch could further collapse at any time. Because of this, trench rescue is one of the most dangerous types of rescues. Training for trench rescue is extensive and is done in a controlled environment to ensure the safety of the rescuers.

Why use Code Red Safety for trench rescue?

OSHA violations can result in penalties ranging from a warning to a significant fine. In the case of a serious violation, the penalty can be up to $7,000 for each citation. A willful violation can carry fines up to $70,000. The U.S. Department of Justice may also bring criminal action against an employer whose willful violation results in death; a conviction is punishable by a fine up to $500,000 plus six months in jail. Under OSHA standards, special precautions are required for trenches deeper than 5 feet. Walls must be sloped for stability or a trench box or other bracing must be used to prevent cave-ins. Also, the trench must be inspected daily by a

for evidence of problems. Such trench accidents injure or kill hundreds of workers each year
